General Terms and Conditions

Terms of use

Use of the Laufbahndiagnostik platform, including creating a personal profile, is free of charge. Once you have registered an account, you will be able to complete the career assessment questionnaires and materials.

To register, your first and last names and other personal information are collected. Your full name will then appear on your individual profile. The e-mail function that is a part of the Laufbahndiagnostik profile will allow you to forward your personal profile to others. The linking of your full name with your profile ensures that your profile will not be confused with another profile.

As a client, you can connect your account with your counsellor, which gives your counsellor access to your personal data. You can remove that connection at any time and without giving reasons.

Confidentiality / Security

All data on the Laufbahndiagnostik platform is treated as strictly confidential by the IAP Institute of Applied Psychology of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). The data are used in anonymized form for research purposes and for the further development of the questionnaires and materials, whereby no conclusions can be drawn about individual persons. The only persons who have access to your data are those who require it to perform their work. The data will be collected and used for the declared purpose only and will not be shared for other purposes.

Data that you enter into the forms is transmitted in encrypted form. The transmission of personal data via the Internet is carried out at your own risk. The information that you provide will be recorded on our servers, stored with great care, and protected from access by third parties. The input of third-party data requires the consent of those concerned.

Liability disclaimer

No warranty whatsoever is assumed for the up-to-date status, correctness, completeness, and quality of the information provided. The IAP Institute of Applied Psychology of the ZHAW expressly reserves the right to change this information at any time and without prior notice. Liability claims against the IAP Institute of Applied Psychology of the ZHAW due to material or immaterial damages resulting from access, use, or non-use of the information provided on the platform (especially results and recommendations for action), through misuse of the online connection, or as a result of technical malfunctions are excluded as far as legally permitted.

The IAP Institute of Applied Psychology of the ZHAW will be liable only for damages caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. Liability is limited to the services outlined in this agreement. The user is liable for damages resulting from the user’s failure to comply with the agreed-upon obligations. The liability of the IAP Institute of Applied Psychology of the ZHAW for persons having a Laufbahndiagnostik ‘counsellor’s account’ is expressly excluded.

General terms and conditions for access by counsellors (counsellor’s account)

Terms of use

There is a fee for the use of access by counsellors (a counsellor’s account) on the Laufbahndiagnostik platform. A one-year subscription for a counsellor’s account costs 950 CHF per counsellor and year (without VAT). To have a counsellor’s account, you must be a professional with proven expertise in the area of psychological assessment and counselling. For counsellor access, you must already have a Laufbahndiagnostik account and must then request (electronically) to change it to a counsellor’s account. When you activate your counsellor’s account, you will be invoiced.

Once your counsellor’s account has been activated, you can invite clients to connect with you on the Laufbahndiagnostik platform, and you will have access to their data for as long as the client maintains the connection with you.

You can cancel your counsellor’s account at any time through the account settings, in which case the account will be downgraded to a regular user account status. The fee for the one-year subscription for a counsellor’s account will not be reimbursed; if you end the subscription early, you do not receive a refund.

Confidentiality / Security

Clients must explicitly grant the counsellor access to their personal data. The connection with the counsellor can be terminated by the client at any time and without giving reasons.

All of the client’s data must be treated as strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to a third party without the consent of the data subject.

The use of a counsellor’s account is personal and restricted to the counsellor who is the registered user. Disclosure of access data and use by third parties is prohibited. It is not possible to transfer an existing counsellor’s account to another person; a new account must be created.

The IAP Institute of Applied Psychology of the ZHAW reserves the right to revoke access by counsellors under justified circumstances (e.g. in the event of misuse).

Liability disclaimer

Counsellor’s account holders must protect the data from access by third parties and must store the data with all due care. Liability claims against the IAP Institute for Applied Psychology of the ZHAW due to material or immaterial damages resulting from counsellors’ improper use of counsellor’s accounts are excluded as far as legally permitted. The IAP Institute of Applied Psychology of the ZHAW will be liable only for damages caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

These terms of use and the liability disclaimer are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
